Machining Technology Courses: Milling Techniques (Indexable Insert and Solid Carbide Milling)
The course is designed for machine operators, programmers, and production planning staff who already have basic knowledge of machining technology. It provides in-depth knowledge of milling operations, particularly in selecting tools, indexable inserts, and appropriate cutting parameters.
Participants will expand their skills in face milling, shoulder milling, slot and profile milling, as well as in specialized applications such as pocket machining and contour milling with solid carbide end mills. Another focus is on understanding tool wear and determining optimal technical and economic cutting data.
The course also includes practical machine exercises and covers tool paths as well as the calculation of maximum chip thickness.
