You too can develop the potential of the ToolBox
The Brütsch/Rüegger Tools User Day was a complete successOn 6 March, a long-cherished dream became reality: Under the management of Raphaël Müller, an expert in industrial solutions at Brütsch/Rüegger Tools, the first "User Day" took place — a memorable day full of innovations and lively conversations. The focus of the day was on the ToolBox system, which Brütsch/Rüegger Tools launched in 2009. Today, more than 130 customers use a total of 100 specific variants of this innovative solution, which benefits around 4000 users every day. Brütsch/Rüegger Tools has long wanted to bring users of the solution together. Unfortunately, the idea of a User Day had to be postponed time and again due to the coronavirus pandemic. "But now the project has finally become a reality", says Raphaël Müller.
The event took place at Brütsch/Rüegger Tools head office in Urdorf ZH. Thirty-five people from seventeen German-speaking Swiss companies in various industries accepted the invitation and attended the User Day. The aim of the event was to provide ToolBox users with a platform to exchange experiences and network. The event, which lasted from nine in the morning until three in the afternoon, included several key topics, all of which were linked to the ToolBox system.
ToolBox — for smart tool handling
The smart ToolBox systems from Brütsch/Rüegger Tools deliver a range of benefits. Above all, they make it possible to manage resources better, which results in a reduction in material consumption and the value of inventories. This in turn significantly reduces the costs of tool procurement and warehousing. Thanks to their integrated ordering system, the ToolBox systems also reduce administrative expenses, which can achieve annual productivity gains of up to 20%. The ToolBox tool removal systems are easy to use and versatile, ensure 100% availability, significantly reduce tool costs and ensure complete traceability.
Using more than a fraction of the solution
Raphaël Müller focused particularly on the "Software Deep Dive". It became clear that ToolBox users only use 20 percent of the solution on average — but not all of them use the same 20 percent. This led to a valuable conversation and provided participants with an opportunity to learn and benefit from the experiences and tips of others.
"It was fascinating to see how the different ways in which our solution is used led to lively discussions and new ideas."
The subsequent visit to the state-of-the-art logistics facility in Urdorf showed how efficiently and comprehensively the range of over 300,000 articles is managed, and the participants were amazed at the speed and precision of the service. The visit to the smart factory provided a taste of the future of production, in which automation, networking and smart systems significantly increase efficiency and flexibility. The neighbouring training centre showed how these advanced technologies can be put into practice. This not only generated enthusiasm among the guests, but also made them want to implement these innovations in their own company.
An event that connects and motivates
The consistently positive feedback and detailed discussions confirm that the User Day will now will be a fixed date in the Brütsch/Rüegger Tools calendar. The annual event is intended not only to strengthen the sense of community, but also to create a framework for promoting valuable personal conversations and discovering hidden potential within companies — a win-win for everyone involved.
